Riventa pump system optimisation reduces vitality costs

In the port city of Yeosu in South Korea, pump optimisation specialist Riventa has created significant savings at a global tyre manufacturer’s water pumping plant, together with an annual energy reduction of 13%.

For a pressurised system that circulates cooling water for synthetic rubber processing, Riventa utilised its FREEFLOW technology and Green Pump Index (GPX) benchmarking system to simultaneously monitor 5 pumps. For 150 hours, system pressure was measured, together with flow rate and head combos to pinpoint how successfully the pumps may meet the varying demands of the system.
Included within the tyre manufacturer’s goals was the necessity to tackle stress objectives for the system, which have been working at four.5 kg/cm2, in comparability with the contractual minimal supply pressure of 3.8 kg/cm2. Although the 5 pumps had the same casing, two of the impellers were significantly completely different and Riventa found that by trimming the diameter of three pumps by 3.5%, an 11% discount in strain would be achieved.
By absolutely understanding weksler pressure gauge ราคา of the system and how the pumps interacted with it, Riventa had been also able to calculate optimum performance and make potential GPX recommendations.
At the beginning of the project, the GPX index, which indicates the quantity of power as a share that’s successfully transformed into helpful work by the drive, motor, pump and system, was fifty four, however after Riventa’s modifications, had improved to a GPX index of sixty four. So, of the one hundred pc of electrical energy consumed by the motor, simply 54% of that power was being successfully transformed into net hydraulic output power.
